MacSurvivor 2004-2005.
Outplay, Outwit, OutMAC!This is the MacGuild's fun parody of the TV show. This is the Second installment of the MacSurvivor Game. The host of our game is Bill Catambay, who not only is judge, but designer of each challenge.
The beginning of the contest started with two teams, and A team and a B team. There were team building activities from the get-go.These activities were designed to help build connections with the other contestants, and of course, see who's up to the challenges.
The challenges have been everything from reviewing software to showing your Macintosh prowess with different software packages.Additionally, the constant needfor communication between members of the teams is an essential aspect of this contest.
Currently in this contest, we have two teams, the MacLions and the iofTheTigers. They are fighting for their very existence on a virtual island in MacCyberSpace. Some incredible new features of this contest includes the use of virtual worlds as provided by the Map Makers Guild. This enables the team members to walk around a "virtual" island, complete with huts, water, and a firepit.
We fully expect that the challenges of the future will just as exciting as the web development project.
MacSurvivor 2004-2005 is by far the most aggressive and exciting MacContest to date. The number prizes available to the contestants is amazing. The MacGuild Editor has done an excellent job getting the greater Mac Community involved in sponsoring our event. There is no doubt that all our hard work and fun will pay off.
